Keturah represents a wide range of clients facing state attorney general (AG) investigations and litigation, from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 100 corporations. Efficient and results-oriented, Keturah helps her clients work successfully with AG offices and navigate complex regulatory landscapes to achieve outcomes aligned with their strategic business goals.
Keturah represents clients faced with formal and informal AG actions and guides clients through every step of the investigation process, including discovery and negotiations, and litigation and appeals where necessary. Keturah has briefed numerous appellate cases raising complex questions about AG enforcement authority and interpretation of state consumer protection and antitrust laws. She also regularly advises clients on compliance and best practices designed to avoid regulatory scrutiny in the first instance.
Keturah’s industry experience encompasses hospitality, financial services/fintech, telecommunications, gaming, retail energy, oil and gas, and auto manufacturing, among others. She represents companies of all sizes and at every stage in the business life cycle — from fledgling online operators to longstanding institutions — across a wide range of issues, including consumer protection, data privacy and security, antitrust, credit card surcharging, utilities regulation, and more. Keturah particularly enjoys representing new and emerging businesses, for whom a state AG investigation can have game-changing consequences.
While in law school, Keturah completed legal internships in the chambers of Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Federal Programs Branch of the U.S. Department of Justice, and the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. She was also on the editorial board of The George Washington Law Review, and served as a teaching and research assistant to two former deans of The George Washington University Law School.
Keturah maintains an active pro bono practice, including successfully obtaining a resentencing to time served under the D.C. Second Look Amendment Act for a client sentenced to life imprisonment as a juvenile.
