Cecil focuses his practice primarily on high exposure and high-risk casualty and complex tort litigation, including matters involving claims of products liability, negligence, professional negligence, premises liability, construction defect, construction casualty, and toxic tort. He has extensive experience handling all aspects of the litigation process, from the pleading stage through trial, in both federal and state court. Further, he has successfully argued a number of appeals before the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Cecil has also successfully defended clients at arbitration.

With a diverse litigation background, Cecil’s practice also encompasses representing clients in matters involving commercial litigation, real estate, condominium disputes, breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secrets, tortious interference with contractual relations, and other business disputes. He also has experience handling employment law matters and has appeared before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC), and other federal and state agencies, defending against claims for employment discrimination, violations of the ADA, FMLA, and other statutory claims, as well as claims for wrongful discharge.

Cecil has earned a reputation with his clients for tackling cases involving unique subject matters with challenging legal issues and consistently delivering positive, cost-effective results. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner with a regional insurance defense firm based in Philadelphia, serving as lead counsel representing clients in many diverse areas of law.
