John Ho and Janice Sued Agresti highlight what employers can expect in the year ahead from OSHA and the Department of Labor on workplace safety, pay equity, and employee classification. John and Janice discussed how the COVID-19 pandemic will likely require less attention in the workplace as the year goes on. They expect OSHA to refocus on more traditional safety and health rulemaking and make significant revision to the Electronic Recordkeeping Rule, which already has proposed amendments from OSHA. They also wrote about how the Department of Labor is constructing the rulemaking for employee and independent contractor classifications and the proposed notices. They both expect more states and localities to continue focusing on pay equity regulations.
