Supreme Court Set to Review Attorney-Client Privilege in “Dual-Purpose Communications” [Lexology]

Thomas Wilkinson and Deborah Winokur co-authored an article for Lexology covering a circuit split the U.S. Supreme Court will address concerning the proper test federal courts should apply when assessing whether the attorney-client privilege protects communications that serve a “dual purpose.”  Tom and Deborah discuss the origin of the split, the federal appellate circuits the U.S. Supreme Court will address, and the amicus briefs the U.S. Chambers of Commerce and American Bar Association submitted.
