Victims of SolarWinds Cyberattack Face Investigation Costs, Liability Issues

The outlined steps include a forensic investigation which depends on factors such as the number and types of devices and systems on a network, the geographic distribution of the network, and whether the customer already had a contract with a security vendor to provide such services in the event of a security incident. Taking proactive steps to address potential liability, where limits to what a company can do to minimize its liability brought to the forefront. Finally, accessing future risks and taking compliance steps which will highlight what security measures are reasonable.
