US Supreme Court Poised to Revolutionize College Athletics

Stephen Miller and Jonathan Ciriello contributed an article to The Legal Intelligencer discussing how change is coming to the NCAA’s amateurism model. They explain how the athletes argue that the amateurism model is simply not relevant, in part, because it is not what makes college sports distinct and uniquely competitive. The NCAA argues that, if schools are required to compete with each other to compensate athletes, it will be at the expense of other, nonrevenue generating sports and athletic programs.
