Alison Lecker, an associate in Cozen O’Connor’s Utility, Environmental & Energy Practice Group, discusses the new sustainable development goals adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in The Legal Intelligencer. The new development goals were adopted by 193 countries as the culmination of three years of negotiations during the U.N.’s Summit on Sustainable Development. Alison notes that some of the biggest challenges for the development goals may be how to measure progress, establish accountability, and gain adequate funding.
