Mariah Passarelli will present “Pregnancy Laws: The Old, the New, and Best Practices” at the 2024 PHRA Annual Conference and Exhibition. Mariah will discuss the appropriate treatment of pregnant and nursing employees in the workplace, including a review of related laws under Title VII, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She will examine compliance with two new laws – the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and the Providing Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers Act. Finally, she will share best practices for addressing related employee issues.
