Barry Boss, co-chair of the White Collar Defense & Investigations group and co-chair of the Commercial Litigation department, moderated a panel at the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich 32nd Annual National Seminar on Federal Sentencing, held from May 31 - June 2, 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
The seminar covered a range of federal sentencing topics, including recent updates on federal sentencing law & policy, plea bargains, ethics in sentencing, compassionate release, crimes of violence, and others. The Plea Bargaining panel that Barry moderated discussed issues arising in plea bargaining, including Department of Justice policies, appeal waivers, Rule 11(c)(1)(C) plea agreements, stipulations, substantial assistance, and Early Disposition Programs.
