Steve Katkov and Ben Bomrind will present “Differences Between Cannabis and Real Estate Financing” at the Minnesota Data Center and Cannabis Real Estate Summit hosted by REjournals. Steve and Ben will discuss the significant differences in secured, asset-based lending between cannabis operators and conventional borrowers. They will also cover topics such as borrower’s real property, improvements and equipment, the nature of default and the remedies available to the cannabis lender, and the inherent risks in lending in this space without the protections of the Safe Banking Act.
