Farrell J. Miller will present “Consent Judgments: A Guide for Adjusters” at the 2023 Property & Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo in Orlando, Florida. Farrell will present in the “Casualty Campus” session on Monday, March 20 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., and Wednesday, March 22 from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
The presentation will describe the mechanics of the consent judgment process and identify conditions that must be satisfied before a policyholder can enter into a consent judgment. Farrell will also examine standards courts use to determine whether to enforce a consent judgment against liability insurers, and share tools to challenge the enforcement of a consent judgment.
