Webinar

Date & Time

Start Date: 11/05/2020
Start Time: 1:00 pm
End Time: 2:00 pm EST

Join us for a two-part discussion of what a new Biden administration or a continued Trump administration will mean for employers, employees, and workplace consistency. The first part of this webinar series will focus on the impact of the election results on private-sector employers. We will discuss the potential for progress, regress, and/or status quo under each administration and address what proactive steps employers can take before the inauguration in January 2021.  Topics will include:

  • The continuation or expansion of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act
  • Federal paid leave laws and other COVID-19 relief plans as well as the potential for competing state/local laws
  • Wage & Hour changes and the authority of the Department of Labor: minimum wage thresholds, worker misclassification, and joint employment
  • Predictions on which employment issues may be legislated by a second-term Trump administration or a first-term Biden administration
