Jonathan Toren and David Brisco will present at the 2020 PLRB Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo in Washington, D.C. Jonathan will present on the panel titled, "Abuse & Molestation Claims & Coverage Issues." During this panel, he will identify the trends and sources of liability in abuse and molestation claims, list methods to locate lost and/or old policies, determine whether coverage has been triggered and/or excluded, and evaluate allocation and limits issues.
David will present on a panel titled, "Ethical Issues in Subrogation Claims." During this panel, he will identify a wide variety of ethical dilemmas that can arise in the handling of a subrogation claim, review applicable rules and practices used to resolve various ethical issues with subrogation, evaluate strategies in resolving ethical decisions in subrogation, including fair treatment of the insured, investigation tactics with social media, disclosure of expert files and communications, and spoliation of evidence.
