COVID-19 at Six-Months Old: Lessons Learned and Best Practices

Location

Webinar

Date & Time

Start Date: 08/20/2020
Start Time: 1:00 pm EST
End Time: 2:00 pm EST

This year has been a roller coaster ride for employers. Collectively, we have survived shutdowns, furloughs, employee sickness, re-opening, and now managing a back to school season like nothing the country has seen in the past. This webinar will look back at the last six months to discuss what employers have learned from the pandemic and to turn lessons learned into best practices for employers to follow with the anticipated employee requests and lawsuits in the days ahead. This webinar will be a more interactive roundtable format and split into two parts, with the first part focusing on:
  • Furloughs, recalls and WARN Act compliance
  • Paid leave requests under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and the recent New York court decision striking down portions of the DOL rule
  • Best practices for handling back to school and accommodation requests from employee parents
  • Legal risks and best practices for employees working from home
Stay tuned for the second half of the round table discussion on August 27, which will focus on masks and PPE, handling positive cases in the workplace, and employee health screening.
