Speakers

For those clients working in a remote setting or from home, Cozen O’Connor’s Subrogation & Recovery Department is committed to continue to offer great education and CE credits to our clients. We have set up a “Stay at Home” Virtual Seminar that offers clients the opportunity to participate in one, two, or three one-hour education sessions on Tuesday, June 16. The dress code is “home casual” and we hope you can binge some subrogation education with us.

Auto Subrogation: Burning Rubber!

Vehicle fires are extremely difficult cases to pursue recovery against the manufacturer for a product defect. This webinar will use the case study method where four vehicle fires that caused significant property damage will be analyzed. The presentation will highlight indications and signs showing manufacturing or design defects that result in the loss. Further, it will discuss marketing or failure to warn claims, and the proof and evidence that is necessary to succeed on those claims. The presenters will examine how to access NHTSA investigation files and recall information to better support claims against vehicle manufacturers. Lastly, they will examine various repose statutes and the economic loss doctrine.
