Julia Molander and Jonathan Toren, of Cozen O'Connor's Global Insurance department, and David Brisco, of Cozen O'Connor's Subrogation and Recovery department, will present at the PLRB 2018 Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo. Julia Molander will present on Independent Counsel Fees: Keeping Control, which will identify circumstances in which the insured has a legitimate right to independent counsel. It will also determine whether billing guidelines will apply to independent counsel and evaluate whether fees are reasonable and necessary. Jonathan Toren will present on Food Liability Exposures & Insurance coverage, which will illustrate various claims that may be made against food service providers including negligence and product liability. It will also identify the types of food service providers against whom claims could be made, and describe liability insurance coverage for those claims, including CGL policies and other stand-alone coverages applicable to food liability. David Brisco will present on Waivers of Subrogation & Limitations of Liability which will describe the legal issues involved in waiver of subrogation and limitation of liability cases.
